The Mississippi River Trust, a charitable 501(c)(3) organization, is the Lower Mississippi River Valley’s largest land trust. It works exclusively to preserve the region’s vast fish and wildlife habitat, working cooperatively with landowners, government agencies, and the public.
The Mississippi River Trust is not alone in its efforts to protect working lands. The Trust is primarily funded by charitable donations from individuals and foundations supporting our work. These generous donations are enabling the Trust to
- Conserve tens of thousands of acres of private fish and wildlife habitat throughout the Lower Mississippi River Valley
- Encourage sustainable forestry
- Promote policy initiatives that offer private landowners opportunities to practice good land stewardship
Be part of something great for the Lower Mississippi River Valley! Future generations will be proud of your role.
